Yarn Care:

Superwash yarns may be washed in a washing machine on a hand wash or wool/delicate cycle; however, we recommend hand washing by soaking in cold water, then laying flat to dry to maintain the integrity of the dye and fibers. All non-superwash yarns should be hand-washed in cold water to prevent felting. Acid dyes need a ph of 2-4 (acidic) to bind to the yarn fibers. Most tap water has a pH of 7, and some soaps can have a pH of 13 or higher. Avoid soaking your garment for more than 30 minutes, as the pH of the water and soap/wool wash combined can break the chemical bond of dye to your yarn.

To Avoid Bleeding:

All yarns are carefully dyed using citric acid, and are left to exhaust until the water is clear. They are then rinsed in cold water, air-dried and skeined. Yarns containing fuchsia, red, or orange can bleed from dyed yarn. To prevent bleeding, always use cold water, and splash a bit of vinegar or citric acid, (about a teaspoon), used for canning into the water before adding your garment.

Dye Lots:

No two skeins will match exactly, even when dyed in the same batch--that's the beauty of hand-dyed yarn! When purchasing yarn for a project, please make sure to buy enough yardage to complete your project.

To Avoid Pooling:

We recommend alternating two skeins. It's easy! Simply work 1-2 rows with one skein, drop the yarn in the front at the beginning of the round, then pick up the working yarn from the second skein. When you get back to the beginning of the round, drop the yarn to the front, pick up the yarn from the first skein, move it to the back of your work, and continue knitting. Repeat!

Refunds:

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. If your purchased yarn has been subject to smoke, dust, animal hair, or has been wound into a cake, the item is unfortunately non-returnable. It must also be in the original packaging, (our poly-mailers have an additional adhesive strip which allow you to use the same packaging for returns).

Gift cards and services, such as yarn winding fees, are non-refundable. We do not offer exchanges at this time.

We want you to love our yarn as much as we do, and we stand by the quality of our items; however, we are humans, and we make mistakes. In the event that there is an error, or you are displeased with our products, please contact us directly, and we'll work with you to make it right.
